My first horse related injury

Ok, it’s not as dramatic as all that…

On Monday the horse I ride freaked out again. I had his lead rope in my hand, it went through my fingers, burning my skin and ripping patches off two of my fingers. My hand was on fire all night. It was waking me up every hour. I had my hand in a bowl of ice water in bed and I had to get up to add ice.

The next morning the blisters stopped burning somewhat but where the patches of skin are off, the pain was going down to the bone and making my fingernails hurt even. Today the wounds have crusted over… nice picture for you to imagine huh. I took a picture of my fingers on my phone but I do not know how to send them to Facebook or Twitter, then I could save the image and post it here. That will be a treat. I put peroxide on them and also alcohol, it didn’t sting like I thought. And today I can actually use my fingers with out cringing too bad. Talk about lesson learned, let go of the rope :P

In the world out of the Barn, R&R is sooooo close that I am getting anxious and feel like my house will not be ready on time and 5lbs will never just fall off and he wont like my hair, a lot of you dear readers know what I am talking about. ACK! Well I’m going to leave you with pictures. Everybody likes a picture :D
